Here are various websites that I enjoy visiting, some are simply online comics, while others are helpful HTML sites. They are sorted according to what type of site that they are, and some include a brief explanation. Clicking a link will open the site in a new window.

These are listed in no particular order whatsoever. These are simply blogs that I frequent more often than most, and enjoy reading for one particular reason or another.

 

My new favorite online comic, enjoy watching the antics of large burly men being super macho around the office. Guest stars include: Kratos (God of War), Pyramid-Head (Every Silent Hill game EVER), Gyarados (Mr. Fish), Sten (Dragon Age: Origins), and countless others.

Penny Arcade
Long time comic about two roommates playing video games and weird hyjinks, although recently since both of the creators have kids interesting child rearing topics come up that would make one think that child services should possibly be called to intervene.
CTRL+ALT+DEL
Another comic revolving around video games, but the characters are more in depth and there is a actual overarching storyline throughout the series. As opposed to Penny Arcade, CTRL+ALT+DEL is generally more about people who play video games than about actually playing video games.
Girls With Slingshots
A comic centered around the misadventures of the near-alohalic Hazel and her mischievous counterparts. Fair warning, this comic deals with adult themes and has liberal uses of not only swearing, but also dildo references. (GWS was also featured as one of our Spotlight Articles!)
1 UP Trading Card Game

1UP is a online Trading Card Game whose main focus is trading cards related to Video Games. There are plenty of decks to master and you have your pick of titles from every system from the latest generation all the way back to the NES. Players can also master character themed decks as well.

  • Post Secret Blog – If you are a fan of the Post Secret books then you will probably enjoy this blog. It updates every Sunday with exclusive secrets that you won’t find in any of the books.
  • The Quilting Bee – The bestest and most awesome online community ever. To find out more about this awesome community, you can also click the little bee in my header navigation to view my Quilt.
  • Last.FM – The best online radio there is. Unlike Pandora Last.FM allows unlimited streaming to your computer, but you only get so much that you can stream to your phone. (Think of it as the reverse to Pandora. Use Last.FM on your PC and Pandora on your phone to always have music at your fingertips.)
  • Pinterest – Like tumblr but with less spam and people who think they are artists. This site is always great for a pick me up. (Registration is still by referral only)
  • Cooking with Dog – It’s not what you think! (The dog hosts the cooking show!)
  • Zero Punctuation – Your one stop shop for snarky and sarcastic game reviews by an angry Australian.
  • ISketch – Not quite worthy of being put in the games section, but if you like pictionary this is a great way to kill some time.
  • The Oatmeal – Funny and (sometimes) eye opening comics from a guy who figured out the best and easiest way to make money was to make people laugh at stuff we already know to be true.
  • Virtual Piano – This is no doubt, the most awesome thing ever! Every key of a piano is mapped to a key on your keyboard, and music has been transcribed into both letters and numbers. It is really quite fun!
  • VaginaPagina – While I will admit that I hate Livejournal with a passion. This is an awesome collection on women’s health and advice.
